Renée Hamlin is pursuing her MFA at San Francisco State University—this means she is chasing it while it runs away screaming. Her poems have appeared in journals such as The Maine Review, HOOT Review, and Suisun Valley Review. She is currently a Teaching Apprentice at Solano College; when she graduates, she plans to teach English and Creative Writing.

(My favorite thing about the job title, “Teaching Apprentice,” is that it reminds me of “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.” I suppose teaching is a kind of magic, right?)
